David was elected to the Pembina Trails School Board in 2002 and re-elected in 2006, 2010 and 2014.  He has served as both Chair of the Board and Vice–Chair and he has been a member of all of the Board’s standing committees as well as numerous ad hoc committees. He currently serves as Finance Chair.

David and his wife Katherine live in Fort Garry with their sons Magnus and Eric. Both are recent graduates of Vincent Massey Collegiate.

David grew up in Charleswood and has lived in Fort Garry for the past 21 years.  He graduated from Oak Park High School and later from the University of Manitoba where he received a B.A. in Geography.

Over the years David has held senior positions in both the public and private sectors. He founded Strata Research, a company specializing in demographic mapping and database marketing.

David’s main focus is his family, particularly his sons’ activities.  He has served as a community volunteer and supported his sons’ hockey and soccer teams.

David is seeking re-election to the School Board because he wants to ensure that the Division continues to provide quality programming in a safe and caring environment through responsible fiscal management.
